The 7th Zakat Fair 2019 organized by Center for Zakat Management (CZM) on 04 May 2019 at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh, Dhaka. Mr. M A Mannan, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Planning, GoB inaugurated the fair as chief guest.
A Seminar titled ‘Role of Zakat and Tax in Reducing Income Inequalities’, a roundtable Conference on “Importance of Ethics in Economy: The Zakat Issue”, a special Q&A session for women and a prize-giving ceremony for the winners of Kirat-hamd-naat and essay writing competition were organized at the fair. All the programs were well-attended.
A Consultation Desk was set up at the fair for answering queries from the visitors relating to rules and regulations of Zakat and helping individuals or business organizations for calculating Zakat properly.
Besides, stalls of different organizations were set-up. Standard Chartered Sadik, Exim Bank, Institution of Hazrat Muhammad (saw), Bangladesh Islamic Law Research and Legal Aid Center set-up stalls. CZM also set up a stall at the fair. CZM distributed its several publications at the stall.
Several important figures of the society attended the fair as special guests & speakers of different programs.
